ZipMart Return Policy

We want you to be satisfied with every purchase. Below are the return and refund rules applicable to different product categories and situations.

1. Groceries & Perishables (Fruits, Vegetables, Dairy, Bakery, etc.)

  • No returns once delivered due to the perishable nature of these items.
  • Refunds may be considered only if the product is delivered damaged or spoiled — customers must provide photographic proof immediately (within 24 hours) for evaluation.

2. Packaged & Non-Perishable Items (Household Essentials)

  • Returns accepted only if the product is defective, damaged, or incorrect, and if the vendor’s policy permits.
  • Return requests must be submitted within 24 hours of delivery with original packaging (where applicable) and supporting photos.

3. Personal Care Products

Personal care and hygiene products are non-returnable for safety and hygiene reasons once delivered.

4. Pharmaceuticals / Medicines

  • No returns or refunds on medicines once delivered.
  • ZipMart acts as a delivery partner/marketplace facilitator — responsibility for product quality, safety and compliance lies with the vendor/seller.

5. Seller Policies

Some sellers may have their own return/refund rules. Where a seller policy applies, that policy will take precedence and will be displayed on the product or checkout page.

6. How to Request a Return

▶ Via the ZipMart Website

  1. Go to My Orders in your ZipMart account.
  2. Select the specific order and the item you want to return.
  3. Tap on Return / Replace.
  4. Choose the reason and, if asked, upload a photo/video showing the issue (e.g., damaged or expired item).
  5. Submit your request. You’ll receive a confirmation message and tracking ID for your return request.

▶ Via Customer Support

Provide your Order ID, product details, and reason for return so our team can assist you quickly.

i. Review & Approval
  • Our team reviews requests within a few hours.
  • If eligible, your return gets approved and a pickup is scheduled.
  • If more information/photo proof is required, we’ll contact you via call or WhatsApp.
ii. Pickup & Verification
  • Pickup is scheduled within 24 hours from approval.
  • Delivery partner collects the product from your address.
  • For perishable/damaged items, pickup may not be required — we verify via photos and process the refund directly.
  • Returned items are verified at the nearest ZipMart dark store or partner outlet.
iii. Refund or Replacement
  • After successful verification, refund is issued to your original payment method or ZipMart Wallet (as selected).
  • Refund timelines:
    • ZipMart Wallet: Instant
    • UPI / Card: 3–7 business days
    • COD Orders: 1–3 business days via UPI or Wallet
  • If replacement is available, a new product will be delivered within 24 hours.
iv. Communication & Tracking

You’ll receive updates at every step — approval, pickup, and refund — via SMS, WhatsApp, and web notifications. You can also track your return status under My Orders → Return Details on the ZipMart website.

v. Note
  • Returns must be requested within 24 hours of delivery.
  • Refunds are processed only after successful verification.
  • ZipMart may deny return/refund requests for tampered or misused products.

7. Refund Process

  • Approved refunds will be credited to the original payment method within 7–10 business days after verification.
  • In certain eligible cases, refunds may be issued to the ZipMart Wallet at ZipMart’s discretion.
  • ZipMart reserves the right to reject returns or refund requests that do not meet the above conditions or lack sufficient proof.

8. Warranty & Guarantee

  • Any warranty or guarantee is provided and handled directly by the seller/vendor.
  • ZipMart does not manage or assume responsibility for warranty claims — contact the seller for replacements, repairs, or warranty service.
